Bridging Continents Through Knowledge, Culture, and Conversation

At House of Turkiye, we believe that every conversation is a bridge—and on May 28th we had the honor of building many.

In a heartfelt gathering at Balboa Park, we welcomed esteemed scholars from Türkiye and the United States for a unique evening of academic exchange, cultural connection, and shared purpose. The event was enriched by the presence of the Consul General of Türkiye in Los Angeles, as well as diplomatic attachés, highlighting the significance of this moment of unity.

What brought us together was more than research or titles—it was a common belief in the power of knowledge, the importance of dialogue, and the beauty of cultural heritage.

As guests shared their academic journeys and visions for future collaborations, the evening unfolded with the warm aroma of traditional Turkish food, the gentle clinking of tea glasses, and the deep richness of freshly brewed Turkish coffee. These were not just refreshments—they were reminders of home, of roots, of the stories we carry even when we are far from where we began.

In every sip, in every exchange, a bridge was quietly being built—between continents, between disciplines, and most importantly, between people.

This gathering was a testament to the idea that when we open our doors and our hearts, something extraordinary happens. We don’t just exchange ideas—we form lasting connections. We don’t just talk—we understand. And through these moments, we take one step closer to a more thoughtful, collaborative, and united world.

House of Turkiye is proud to serve as a cultural and intellectual home for such meaningful encounters. Because when we bring people together around knowledge, tradition, and tea—we are not just hosting an event.
We are building a bridge.
